Amie has completed a CPD accredited course in Dog First Aid/Emergency Canine Care. This in-person course was provided by 'Dog First Aid Training', supplying all of the knowledge needed to give potentially life-saving care to your dog. Last updated in 2025.
Pet Care Business Diploma
This Level 3 CPD accredited course introduced Amie to the foundations of setting up her own pet care business. Equipping her with knowledge of the laws and regulations, and basic requirements to running a small business, she is prepared to take on this new chapter.
Canine Behaviour Training Diploma
Amie is currently in the process of completing this Level 3 CPD accredited course on all things dog. The course is a complete overview of the modern dog, covering everything from how they've evolved, canine communication and science-based training techniques.
License
Auntie Amie's is fully licensed by Tamworth Borough Council to provide dog home boarding services.
*as a new business you are limited to 4 stars initially- once you have a license history of 2 years+ then you are eligible for 5 stars.

Insurance
Auntie Amie's is fully insured with Pet Business Insurance. Cover includes public liability, injury to animals, key theft, and all other necessities when owning a pet-related business. This is renewed yearly.
DBS
Amie has a clean DBS that you can ask to see when you have your consultation meeting. This offers peace of mind for all clients.
Operating Procedure
This document is a requirement from the council when boarding dogs. It explains how safety and wellbeing will be maintained, following guidance from 'The Animal Welfare Regulations 2018'.
Risk Assessment
This is also a required document when boarding dogs or animals. It runs through all of the potential risks in the environment, and how these risks will be managed.
